Possibly the first tribute act that Gemma & Tom ever performed on together was a Rocky Horror Picture Show experience, and ever since then, they'd been dreaming of putting their own show out under their own names. Last week, they made it happen.
For those who perhaps may not have seen Richard O'Brien's cult classic yet, this might seem like a strange reason to set up an agency (to those people, drop whatever you're doing and rent it NOW); but to everyone else, I'm sure it's fairly clear why. The songs are timeless. The costumes are iconic. And the Timewarp ranks alongside the Cha-Cha Slide, Superman & the Hokey-Cokey in terms of accessibility. But even without all these, the most individual and enduring thing about the show is the sense of fun and interaction with the audience. Even at screenings of the show, audiences traditionally dress up, sing along and chime in with all the appropriate responses.
For this reason, if putting on a tribute show is all about fans coming together collectively to revel in the shared joy and pleasure of the thing they love, none does it better than The Rocky Horror Tribute Show (and no pleasure is more risque - even after forty-five years, RH's message of liberalism and progressive attitude still shocks as much as it excites.). Bex Music are thrilled to be debuting their Rocky Horror Tribute Show this Hallowe'en. If putting this show out is half as much fun as putting the promotional material together was, this is guaranteed to be a hit.
